Crema Bakery & Cafe opened in 2013 with one purpose: to spread love and foster community through delicious food and drink.

Founder Jessica Tomberlin’s love of cooking and baking was nurtured from an early age, and she’s honed it throughout the years by feeding friends and family.
In 2009, she started Objects of Confection, a custom cake ball and chocolate business that became the foundation for Crema. Our storefront opened in 2013, and we began wholesaling our food and desserts to other local coffee shops, restaurants and bakeries in 2015.

Our shop offers a full array of scratch-made sweets including custom birthday cakes and wedding desserts, light breakfast and lunch fare made in house, craft coffee from East Austin roaster Texas Coffee Traders, and delicious take-and-bake family meals. Our LGBT & woman-owned business is committed supporting issues of racial and social justice, promoting equality and encouraging Austinites to #eatlocal.

Whether we’re making a simple dessert cake or catering a party for 500, our team promises the same level of care and attention to quality Jessica learned in the days of baking banana bread with her grandfather.
