Aviary Wine + Kitchen began in 2006 as a home decor store with a small wine selection, with the wine section expanding and growing over the years. It briefly closed in 2016 for renovations before re-opening in October 2017 as a full wine bar and restaurant. Aviary is known for making fine wine and dining approachable, accessible, and comfortable for everyone. The staff aims to ensure each guest feels valued and appreciated, while encouraging a safe space to step out of their comfort zones in regards to both food and wine. The menu is seasonal, with a focus on both smaller, veggie based plates and larger, protein-based dishes meant for sharing. Aviary is a scratch kitchen, with all housemade sauces and ingredients, from fresh pasta to salsa macha to ice cream, being made daily. The extensive wine list highlights many unique wines, often from natural producers, lesser-known regions, or utilizing indigenous grape varieties, while also not shying away from showcasing the classics.

Talk about the ultimate comfort food! 24-hour braised pork belly gets a final sear on the plancha before being plated atop a stew of pinto beans, Texas peppers, radish, pickled and charred shallots, and cilantro. Chili vinegar and whipped creme fraiche bring all the flavors together into one warm, delicious bite.
