From Monterrey, Mexico the first Vallejo is said to have settled in New Braunfels, Tejas in 1928. In 1929, My Great-Great Grandfather relocated to a small town outside of Austin, Texas by the name of Mustang Ridge. More specifically my Familia has occupied the area better known as Maha Loop for almost a century, serving the community with Love and our Amor for Amazing Food! Sticking true to the Authentic dishes of our ancestors, Alicia’s Tacoriendo specializes in Authentic Mexican Food at an affordable price. If traditional Mexican cuisine is what you are looking for then look no further than us. We offer catering for any type of occasion or venue, along with, readily available tamales made to your delight.

One day my Grandfather Jose Francisco Vallejo made a comment about his taco “running” because of the juices running out of the back of the tortilla, “Ta Corriendo!”, he said. My Mother, Alicia Vallejo, created our name many years ago from this “running” joke that could be interpreted in many ways! After facing many hardships in previous years, we are finally in a position to establish this business. Today I am the C.E.O of Alicia’s Tacoriendo L.L.C!

I have found it important in life to remain humble and joyful regardless of what life may bring. We want to spread this Love and Cheer with everyone by making food that comforts the soul!! Stop by our location today and experience why our recipes and service have been a favorite of so many people for almost a century!!
